Salmon Habitat Restoration & Intro to Birding with Mid Sound Fisheries

Join Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group at our Sammamish River restoration site for a fun day of birding and habitat restoration!

Mid Sound staff will lead a nature walk throughout the site for first half of the event where we will learn about the diversity of bird species that use our restoration site. We will stop at unique habitat features - including standing dead trees (snags), tall conifers, and creek mouths - throughout the site that provide homes to birds ranging from woodpeckers to hummingbirds to owls and waterfowl! We will spend the second half of the event engaged in hands-on restoration work!
