Native Plant Hike with IATC

Forest Health Hike - Tradition Plateau

Join Issaquah Alps Trails Club, with special guests Mary Nakasone of the Washington Native Plants Society and Joel Gartengberg, trail runner and IATC board member, for a relaxed 4-mile hike through Cougar Mountain, featuring about 800 feet of elevation gain. We'll take our time on the trail, making plenty of stops to observe and talk about the local plant life—so it's perfect for curious hikers and nature enthusiasts alike. Expect forested paths, a waterfall, salmonberries, and plenty of opportunities to learn about native species in a beautiful Pacific Northwest setting. All experience levels welcome!
